love is enough

I just spent a week in the Dominican Republic loving on the poorest of poor. It was a fabulous week, we did a lot of construction, a lot of building, a lot of hard work, and a whole lot of loving.  We you don't speak the same language, it seems as though it would be difficult to share God's love but its so easy.  Even just a smile and a wave from our bus can really change someones day for the better.  We played duck, duck, goose and hand games, we sang songs and we loved the least of these.

The children have nothing, not clean water, not showers, not shoes, very little food but they have each other.  It is amazing how much the people in the community have each others back, and take care of each other is so refreshing.  They are not concerned with themselves and what they have but what they are concerned about is if their friend is okay or if their neighbor has what they need.  They are the definition of selfless and it is so beautiful.

We have so much to learn.  And I spent a whole week learning.
I am so grateful for that.

••craziness••

The last few weeks of April and all of May were CRAZY for me with graduation gifts, specifically towels.  HOLY COW everybody and their brother got a towel - lol - Just kidding but it seemed that way.  There for a few weeks my room looked like bed, bath and beyond, with towels every where!

And throw in a few baby gifts, and big sister/big brother shirt and you have a whole
lot of things getting monogrammed around here.
